Can Masó is located near Banyoles in the municipality of Fontcoberta in the region of "Pla de l'Estany", a very diverse area between the cities of Girona with Call Jueu, Figueres with the famous Dalí and Olot museum with the beech forest of ' in Jordan with a splendid entrance to the Pyrenees and the border with France. It is an area with a great historical weight and very well connected.
A few kilometers away you will find wonderful sandy beaches and rocks with many possibilities to spend some great days.

Region of Pla de l'Estany

Banyoles is located in the extreme north-east of Catalonia and is the capital of the Pla de l’Estany region. It is halfway between the Costa Brava and the Pyrenees, forming a triangle of towns and locations of great historic and scenic interest. It is 120 km from Barcelona and 49 km from the French border.

La Garrotxa

The landscape of La Garrotxa in the Pre-Pyrenees is dominated by extinct volcanoes. As many as 38 volcanoes are spread over the densely forested area of La Garrotxa. On the road from Figueres to Olot lies the striking village of Castellfollit de la Roca. The houses are located on the edge of a steep, 60m high abyss basalt, which originated from the volcanic activity in this area some 350,000 years ago.

The beaches and coves of the Costa Brava

Renowned for its charming coastal area known as the Costa Brava, Catalunya is home to some of the most beautiful beaches in Spain. From small fishing towns to historic Roman ports, there are plenty of towns from which to enjoy the Mediterranean breeze and soak up the local culture.
